RentPal only uses cookies and browser storage needed to provide the service. It does not set advertising or analytics cookies, so no consent banner is shown.

Technical cookies
Supabase sets authentication cookies to keep and refresh your session and protect private routes. NEXT_LOCALE may remember the chosen language. These are user-requested technical cookies and do not require consent. Names and lifetimes may vary as Supabase refreshes sessions or changes its implementation.
Browser storage
We store bi_search_onboarding_seen in localStorage so the search guide is not repeated. During a browser tab, bi_profile_views and bi_nudge_dismissed in sessionStorage count viewed profiles and control the registration prompt. They are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking and can be cleared in your browser.
Cookieless analytics
We use self-hosted Plausible, served from rentpal.es and processed at analytics.buenbarrio.com, to measure aggregate pages, referrers and events. It creates no cookies or advertising profiles. It receives technical data such as IP address and user agent to produce aggregate statistics.
Third-party services
If you choose Google sign-in or open a WhatsApp or other external link, that third party may use its own cookies outside RentPal. When a map is displayed, the browser requests tiles from OpenFreeMap and sends technical data such as IP address and user agent, without creating OpenFreeMap storage in RentPal.
Your controls
You can clear or block cookies and storage in your browser settings. Blocking Supabase cookies prevents sign-in and private features from working. We will update this page before adding any non-essential cookie.
